I was looking for a very specific bolt - M8 x 0.75 - which is pretty rare when looking for bolts in general. Typically these bolts are used for derailleur hangers and older crank arms. SOSHanger.ca had the PERFECT bolt for me - stainless steel and 23mm - which worked flawlessly for a repair to a 1993 Cooks Bros Racing E Crank! The granny ring mounting holes are deep enough for a 23mm long bolt, but the typical 17mm chainring bolt doesn’t engage enough and tends to strip out if over torqued.
